BASH - RPM command

RPM (Red Hat Package Manager) command is used for installing, uninstalling, upgrading, querying, listing, and checking  packages.

query all packages                  rpm -qa
query selected packages             rpm -qa | grep 'mc-'
query particular package            rpm -q mc-*
query packages (formated)          rpm -qa --queryformat '%{name} %{size}\n'
which package program belong to     rpm -qf /QOpenSys/pkgs/bin/mc
locate documentation of a package   rpm -qdf /QOpenSys/pkgs/bin/mc
information about installed package rpm -qi mc
list all files in package           rpm -qlp /QOpenSys/download/syslog-ng.rpm
list package dependency             rpm -qRp /QOpenSys/download/syslog-ng.rpm
show states of files in package     rpm -qsp /QOpenSys/download/syslog-ng.rpm
verify particular package           rpm -Vp /QOpenSys/download/syslog-ng.rpm
verification off all packages       rpm -Va  
particular package upgrade          rpm -Uvh MySQL-client-3.23.57-1.i386.rpm
package uninstallation              rpm -ev MySQL-client
instal package                      rpm -ivh syslog-ng.rpm
